Feeling Blue

Happy Thursday everyone. My blog has been quite lately. I fully took advantage of the memorial day off. Needless to say, I extended the long weekend longer ! My son is off for summer and we are more busier. I try to schedule activities for us to do each day or else he will bug me to death if we just stayed home.  Also I do not want him to watch a marathon of cartoons or play computer games all day long. Swimming,  trip to the library, driving around some scenic routes and taking pictures are some activities that keeps me busy lately. So how is everyone doing?
I have this constant craving for this color. I think the vibrant hue is versatile to wear all seasons long. I played with textures and color contrast on a monochromatic look today. I just love how the yellow bag played well with the blues, both colors compliment each other.
Thank you all for visiting and for all the sweet thoughts. Until next time !

Never forget

Your world exist because the ultimate sacrifice was made by those braver and more giving than yourself. Remember them on this and every Memorial Day.
Thank you to all that are still in service and those that already have served. Enjoy your cookouts, swimming or shopping but never forget to remember what this day truly means.

Made with love

Happy Friday everyone ! A few days ago I was contacted by a few wonderful ladies from  JOJO LOVES YOU, it is an online store that sells fabulous blings. What makes it more special is that everything is still handmade by Jojo in her south end studio in Boston, MA. I truly like and support products as such that are made in America.  Since it is not super mass produce like products in China, Bangladesh or other countries,  the quality is a lot better and of course it is made with love. It is super cute how Jojo started her jewelry business. One thing I can reassure you that the bling that was sent to me was of great quality. It is made of a swarovski crystals handset in sterling silver post. Being someone that has a sensitive skin, it doesn't take it too long before I start itching. I wore this stud clear mini bling all day today and I did not itch at all.  Quality and allergy free are something that I am always looking for when purchasing.  If you would like to know more about JOJO LOVES YOU, the brand and her blings, please check them out here.

Good news for everyone....... From May 24th  through May 27th, is their huge Annual Memorial Day Bling Sale which is pretty awesome and only available through their online store. Sale details below.

Thank you so much for reading and I hope you all have a fabulous weekend.

Do you like handwritten thank you notes? I do.
Here's me with my new clear mini bling

Highlighter

Hi everyone. Happy Thursday ! As far as I have remember I used my neon highlighter for marking key words or information during trainings at work, on notes during school, titles of a subject and so on and on. But it never occur to me that one day, I will wear it in my feet ! I have always plays it safe when it comes to colors most especially when it comes to my footwear. Many moons ago, majority of my shoes were black. Why? Like everyone's universal answer, it goes with everything. Fashion is evolving and so as my style. A highlighter neon color never scared me anymore but rather allowed me to be more experimental and playful. Injecting a punch of color to any outfit is always fun without compromising my own style. One thing is for sure, this color never miss a beat ! What about you, have you been loving some bright colors lately?
Thank you so much for reading and I hope you are having a great week so far !

Boyish

Happy Monday everyone. Did you do anything fun over the weekend? My look for today is inspired by menswear classic pieces but with a twist ! A nod to men's no fuss approach to fashion. Starting off with a favorite chambray tee which represents the crisp oxford button down shirt. It is not too stiff/formal looking and yet still exude a bit of manliness. Why wear a tie when you can wear a statement necklace? My vest has a different silhouette that we see men usually wear and my pants well it's crop and slim to compliment my petite frame. I play around with pieces of clothing that resemble my inspiration but put my own stamp on it. And it also doesn't hurt to add a mirror aviators, a killer pair of heels and a fabulous handbag as oppose to the briefcase to complete the look.
Thank you so much for reading. I hope you have a great day !

Crochet My World

Hello everyone. Like I always say in all my post, thank you so much for all the sweet thoughts. One good thing about being a blogger is knowing some awesome people from different parts of the world ! I have many favorite items in my closet that I hang on to for years. One of them is this crochet shorts. In person it can be mistaken for a skorts. You know me, a girly girl in every sense and this crochet shorts fits the bill. I wish that I have bought multiple pieces for backup.
I have to admit that sometimes I would like to experiment with a much more fashion forward and trendy pieces. Push myself outside my comfort zone. But since I am petite, it is a challenge. I have to consider a proper fitting clothes all the time and asking myself if that is truly me? A great solution is to inject trendy pieces by way of accessories. A simple OOTD for a busy mom like me on route to a brunch with a fun pop of neon, mirror aviators and of course a closet staple and totally a favorite piece, my crochet shorts !
Be fabulous and have a great day !
