Fall layers : Old and new

Is this crazy or what but thanksgiving is only in a matter of days. How did November just went flying this past? We have families coming over and I need my butt going to get our house ready for our guest and I am busy with the capital B!

Layering, color changes and transition is all about today's post. The trick about layering is with varying the texture and thickness of each item of clothing. You don't want to look so stuffy do you? And I don't want to look either. And when the weather gets more colder I can add a thicker coat, a scarf and swap my pumps to a bootie or a boots and I am good to go.

I did a little closet shopping over the weekend. I have these pieces that I have not paying attention that much. My husband is terribly happy about it of course. But I am just giving myself a break for the sweet deals and sales for the holiday shopping.  My lovely blogger friends, are you with me on this? I hope that my husband will not read this post because that is my evil genius plan. Ha ha !

I hope you have a wonderful week and ready for the big feast.

The trees in our neighborhood all have this beautiful vibrant colors of oranges, yellow and purple.
It is not all business with my little photographer. We have lots of playing and goofing around.

Off to the museum

Going with my son's class to the field trip today was a lot of fun. Since I am a parent volunteer to watched over 5 kids, I wear something comfortable and less maintenance. Getting pulled from left to right by kids, I did not dare to wear anything that snug easily. A good ole cotton fabric suits just fine. I just have to switch my cross body bag to a more practical carry all LV.
I hope you are having a wonderful Thursday everyone.
The pictures did not came out great as I wanted to. I swear my 8 year old takes better quality photos than my husband, lol !
Happy Thursday everyone.
xoxo

Cape mode

This cape is one of my favorite outerwear pieces in my closet. I like how it keeps me warm, stylish and honestly makes me feel kinda kick ass, lol. I think it is the hidden superhero wannabe in me. Looking for one is not an easy task but I am glad that last year I scooped it up on shopping days when I am not thinking about it  although it has been on my must have list. Right from the moment I spotted her, it was love at first sight. The length and the width was perfect for my frame. No alterations, I swear ! A biggie for me definitely.
What is your favorite outerwear? What's your story?
Thank you so much for all your sweet thoughts. Have a fun and week.

On a different note, Facebook has been acting weird this past week. It does let me link my post to my FB's timeline. However it does not give me anymore option to show thumbnail photos. Or if it does, FB chooses for you. I tried to used their debugger tool does not work. Tried it so many times and it becoming so frustrating. It says my pictures are too small. I've been using the same size. Have you been experiencing this lately? I'd like to hear your thoughts or any suggestions.
xoxo

All black, almost !

Today I am recycling my high and low skirt, a summer favorite to an early part of Fall. It is not freezing cold here yet so I can still dare to bare some legs. Once in awhile I get comments from my son or husband about my outfits. This time my husband said that the outfit reminds him of the movie "Matrix". I think it is the all black ensemble and the leather. I told him just like Trinity, huh? He said yeah.
Thank you so much for reading. Until next time.
Have a fabulous weekend everybody!!!!!!

Beanie

Back when I was a little girl, my mother used to tell me before you say no to eating your vegetables or anything that she wants us to eat is at least try a little bit. If you don't like it then spit it out. Well it always ended up that I am liking instead of not. Nothing exotic, really.  I guess as I grow up the persuasion stuck to me and have even tried the same trick with my son. I don't like beanies, hat or anything that will flatten the crown of my hair or makes me look more shorter and I think that I am too old to wear one especially the one with a huge pompom on top. And yet here I am blogging about a beanie and looking right back at you. I guess you can never say never or no to anything until you try. A mustard color against the burgundy colored sweater for Fall, why not? Also for pretty much came in handy on my bad hair kinda days. Although there are still other stuff that I would not for the love of food and adventure try. Maybe with the exception of scarcity of food  or the "Walking Dead" really happening, i think I have no choice but to try frog legs, buffalo meat, ostrich meat, critters on a stick, alligator meat, deer meat, foie grois, cow brain, a century egg and some I cannot think of right now. No offense to some but I am not that adventurous when it comes to food.  What about you? Any exotic food you tried lately or you never like beanie too until you had one?
Thank you so much for reading and for your time. I really, really do appreciate your sentiments from my previous post.

By the rock

Hi everyone happy Monday! Today  I would like to dedicate this post to the victims of the most recent calamity in the Philippines.  All the fatalities and missing persons are not tallied yet but I know that there will be more than what the news have reported so far. My heart and prayers goes out to all of you. I hope that all the heartbroken and suffering will heal. And that the government will do exactly what they intended to do for the benefit of it's people. And as I quote this statements from CNN - Filipino people are unbelievably resilient, long suffering, good natured, uber friendly, loyal, ingenious, and a bunch of survivors. At the end of the day, the Filipinos will just shake off the dirt from their clothes and go about their business and SMILE. They do not complain much, they will bear as long as they can. Maybe this is why they were given the "privilege" of bearing the burden of the strongest typhoon ever recorded. This statement is so true, very true ! The photos were taken with no intention on my mind what my title post would be like.  But as I begun writing, it just suddenly hits me.  If you asked me how I want to describe Filipino people in one word-  " Rock".
I wore my camo pumps today to pay tribute and thank you Veterans for the service. Happy Veterans day..................................
Thank you so much for reading and may you have a wonderful day !

Not intended to be included in my blog pics but our dog Junior always wants to join. Hence, he is also my accessory now, no?Maybe I should change my blog title to "Fabulous Petite and Junior",lol..............
